  • Release This: Little King's Story, G-Force Premiere Stateside

  • Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list.

    This week brings Little King's Story and G-Force to North America, as the UK gets an early look at Wii Sports Resort.

    The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending July 25th, 2009.

    After debuting as downloadable content for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 earlier this year, a retail version of Warner's episodic beat'em-up Watchmen: The End is Nigh arrives on U.S. store shelves this week. The retail disc collects both parts of the series, and the PlayStation 3 edition of the game is bundled with a Blu-ray disc of the Watchmen movie.

    Disney-created 'gerbil action' movie title G-Force, which ships with red-blue 3D glasses as one of the first 3D-based games for current consoles, is also arriving alongside a localization of Cing's life simulation title Little King's Story.

    [UPDATE: According to Ignition representatives, although SNK's team-based fighting franchise sequel The King of Fighters XII is listed to hit North American shores this week on some retail websites, its official ship date is July 28th.]

    Gamers in the UK get an early look at an English-language version of Nintendo's Wii Sports follow-up Wii Sports Resort this week. The Wii MotionPlus accessory-bundled title is set to arrive in the UK several days in advance of its planned U.S. debut.

    Europe will also receive Watchmen: The End is Nigh Parts 1 and 2 this week, along with a selection of Nintendo Wii offerings that include Line Rider: Freestyle, Major Minor's Majestic March, and the UK-exclusive Mary King's Riding School.

    Nintendo's Wii remake of Punch-Out!! heads up Japanese console offerings this week. The PlayStation 3 will host Katamari Damacy Tribute and the Doko Demo Issho series spinoff Toro to Morimori, while PS2 owners get Compile's visual novel title Rosario to Vampire Capu 2: Koi to Yume no Kyousoukyoku.

    On portable consoles, the Nintendo DS will receive a new sequel in Nintendo's Chibi-Robo series, as the PSP gets Idea Factory's Blazing Souls Accelerate and PW: Project Witch.
