  • IGDA Launches Student Scholarship for GDC

    [11.13.06]
  • The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) has launched its 7th annual Student Scholarship Program, which awards twenty-five complimentary full access passes to the 2007 Game Developers Conference (GDC) to college students.

By answering a series of essay questions, which will then be judged by a panel of professional game developers, each winner of the scholarship will be rewarded with one ClassicPass, with access to all sessions, roundtables, and keynotes, as well as be paired with an industry mentor and take part in a studio visit and orientation session.

The deadline to enter for the scholarship is Wednesday, January 10, 2007, with the winners announced late January. Applicants are required to be full-time college students (or equivalent) and IGDA student members for consideration.

This year's GDC will be held in San Francisco's Moscone Convention Center on March 5th-9th, 2007. Students can now apply online at the IGDA Student Scholarship Program website.
