  • CGEMS Calls for Computer Graphics Curriculum

  • The Computer Graphics Educational Materials Source (CGEMS) has announced its call for materials for a special issue on "Spreading the Computer Graphics Curriculum" to collect educational material defining the international curriculum in Computer Graphics.

    The CGEMS is an online refereed repository for instructional materials related to Computer Graphics, Digital Arts, and Media with an openness to video game related content. It is backed by the SIGGRAPH Educational Committee and the Eurographics Education Board.

    Outstanding contributions will be exhibited at SIGGRAPH 2007. The first winner will receive one Conference Access pass to the SIGGRAPH conference.

    CGEMS will consider material in the following categories:

    Complete Module: A self-contained, single-topic teaching unit.

    Problem Set: Student assignments with underlying rational and structure.

    Teaching Gem: Innovative bits of teaching material that highlight an approach to teaching a particular problem.

    Curriculum: The body of knowledge of a specific curriculum with knowledge areas, units, and exemplary topics.

    Authoring guidelines and templates can be found online at the CGEMS submission website.
