  • Ubisoft Game Design Challenge Announces Winners

    [12.29.06]
  • Ubisoft has announced the results of its game design competition "Too Much Imagination," the first unique Canada-wide recruitment initiative to find potential candidates interested in joining video game development.

The game design contest was won by an international graduate of the Art Institute of Vancouver, Mart Lume, followed by Nicolas Yur and Guillaume Couture from Montreal. The winners were awarded Mac laptops, Ubisoft Game and Game Design book libraries, an HDTV, and iPods.

Too Much Imagination consisted of 25 multiple-choice and three essay questions that evaluate comprehension of game-design theory, familiarity with game philosophy, and practical knowledge of issues confronted by game designers.

The contest kicked off on September 13 with Ubisoft participating in a number of strategic events, an integrated web campaign and advertising in public transit services in Montréal and Vancouver throughout the fall.

Though the winners have been announced, their submitted designs are not yet available on the site.
