  • SCAD, EA Collaborate On Game Producer Course

    [01.30.07]
  • The Savannah College of Art and Design and Electronic Arts have jointly announced the formation of a SCAD studio pilot program focusing on professional production practices for video games.

All students in SCAD's School of Film and Digital Media who participate in the SCAD studio during winter 2007 will have the opportunity to develop skills necessary for the production of video game artwork and study under the guidance of EA production artists, art directors, and SCAD faculty.

According to an official statement from the two companies, the course will be held in a new SCAD professional production studio facility equipped with video game industry-standard hardware, workstations, and software.

"This collaboration between the Savannah College of Art and Design - one of America's foremost art colleges - and EA - the leading independent developer of interactive entertainment software - will be of significant benefit to students seeking careers in the interactive entertainment industry," said Peter Weishar, dean of the School of Film and Digital Media.

For more information, interested parties can visit the SCAD website.
