  • GCG Feature: ‘Ten Indie, Student Game Competitions’

    [12.27.07]
  • GameCareerGuide.com, Gamasutra.com sister web site for game development education, has put together a shortlist of ten indie and student game competitions that should be on the radar of all amateur, hobbyist, and up-and-coming designers.

The rundown (unranked) points to ten events throughout the world in which indie game developers and students can show their works to compete for cash prizes, as well as that first big break in the industry.

Not all the events require a finished game, either. Some accept demos or playable levels, and at least one only requires a written proposal for a great video game.

To find out when and where all these ten essential game contests take place, visit GameCareerGuide.com.
