  • Here's how to apply for Samsung's new mobile game network for kids

    [12.05.13]
  • Samsung has teamed up with Fingerprint, a children's mobile tech company, to create a mobile games network specifically for kids, with the aim to provide a safe environment for them to play games in.

Fingerprint is designating $1 million to support the integration of kids' apps and games into the program, and the plan is to feature Fingerprint-curated content and new content from third-party developers.

The initiative will initially launch in Southest Asia and Oceania in the first quarter of 2014, as Samsung reasons that Asia has a young demographic base and a rapidly growing middle class.

With this new Kids' Play-and-Learn Content Initiative, Samsung hopes to provide a safe and fun environment for kids on Android Samsung devices, such that parents needn't worry about what they are playing, or how much they are spending.

Those developers interested in signing up to be part of the initiative can do so on the Fingerprint website. The company says that developers will be given access to expanded distribution opportunities, and marketing and technical support.
