    [07.22.09]
  • The National Center for the History of Electronic Games (NCHEG), located at the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York, has launched a new blog focused on gaming history and culture.

NCHEG boasts a collection of nearly 15,000 games, game platforms, and gaming literature. The collection is accessible to scholars for research purposes, with a permanent public exhibit planned for 2012.

CHEGheads Blog is authored by three of the Center's gaming history experts, and boasts "conversations, commentaries, and insights about the past, present, and future of electronic games."

Recent posts cover the OnLive streaming content service, graphic violence in games, and the recent opening of the Videotopia arcade exhibit at the Strong National Museum of Play.

CHEGheads Blog authors include NCHEG director Jon-Paul C. Dyson, NCHEG associate director Marc Check, and NCHEG associate curator Eric Wheeler.
