  • Harrisburg Announces 2010 Dates for Summer Gaming Academy

    [12.10.09]
  • Harrisburg University announced that it will continue its High School Gaming Academy summer program in 2010, offering selected students a chance to learn professional techniques for designing and producing video games.

The Harrisburg University of Science and Technology in central Pennsylvania hosts the annual program for would-be game designers entering the 10th, 11th or 12th grades. Participating students will explore game programming, 3D modeling, audio production, and level design, among other topics.

Students will also have weekly roundtable discussions with industry professionals, and will collaborate with other local students interested in the fields of game design and digital media.

The program is currently accepting applications for two three-week course sessions. The first session is scheduled for June 21st through July 9th. The next session will take place between July 12th and July 30th.

Class size is limited to 12 students per session. Online registration opens January 1st, 2010, at Harrisburg's website.
