  • 2010 Dare to be Digitial Competition Calls for Student Game Developers

    [02.03.10]
  • International game design competition Dare to be Digital has issued a call for applications from student programmers and artists interested in participating in this year's contest.

Sponsored by the University of Abertay Dundee in Scotland, the annual Dare to be Digital competition brings together dozens of arts and science graduates and undergraduates worldwide to design and prototype new and original game concepts.

All chosen students will gather at the Dare hothouse at Abertay Dundee for a ten-week prototype development session. During the summer event, participating students will receive a weekly wage, accomodation and equipment, and regular visits from industry veterans.

To enter, contestants must assemble a team of five or more students and/or graduates and apply online at Dare to be Digital's website. Regional selection events will be held in cities across the UK, India, China, and Norway in April.

The deadline for entry is March 28th, 2009.
