  • Grasshopper Launches Game Development School Support Program

    [11.16.11]
  • Shadows of the Damned developer Grasshopper Manufacture has launched a new amateur development program that aims to support Japanese game development schools.

Game Campus Festa is looking to help students at a number of game development schools across Japan, reports Andriasang -- in particular, those schools which are focusing on PlayStation Vita software development.

The program is currently working with eight schools, and will be providing students with guidance regarding how to best use the Vita hardware.

Grasshopper is also considering releasing some of the student games as public downloads if it believes the move to be worthwhile.

Updates on the project can be found via the newly launched Play Community website, where an official Game Campus Festa page has been created.

Grasshopper has been focusing on social mobile games as of late, and recently revealed a joint venture with Japanese mobile social gaming company DeNA, that will see the companies create social mobile games together exclusively for the Mobage platform.
