Mount Ida College offers a B.S. in Game Art and Animation.  The major prepares students for work as 3D artists and animators. Students take a core series of classes which allows them to build the visual, conceptual, and technical skills necessary to create and animate visual assets for video games.  Attention is given to the various sub-specialties within Game Art and Animation, including modeling, character animation, texturing, special effects, and technical art. While industry-standard software and techniques are covered, the foundations of visual work are always reinforced: color, proportion, light, anatomy, and especially ideas.  By the Senior Year, students will begin to focus on one or two of these areas, which will serve as the emphasis for their capstone project.
