The Master in Computer Game Development was started by the University of Verona (IT) in 2009 and it is the only university degree in this field in Italy. It focuses on game programming in C++ but also touches C#/XNA. The teachers are university lecturers and  industry professionals.  These are some the subjects taught: Computer graphics, Artificial  intelligence, Software engineering, Human-computer interaction, Game production XNA programming, C++ programming, Physics programming,  Game engine programming, Tools programming, Gamplay programming, Sound programming, Network programming. At the end of the course an internship in one of the partner studios is compulsory.
