Shawnee State University is a state institution located in southern Ohio. Shawnee offers many 4-year and 2-year degree options. Starting in fall 2004 Shawnee began offering two video game related degrees: a 4-year BS in "Gaming and Simulation Engineering Technology" which is primarily a game/graphics programming degree and a 4-year BFA in "Gaming and Simulation Development Arts" which is primarily a digital arts and 3D modeling degree. The two degree programs work closely with each other through the 4-years to simulate real-world collaboration. Thus artists learn to work with programmers, programmers with artists.
