Glyndŵr University is the largest educational institution in the north east of the country and is a vibrant, friendly place where each student’s learning and future is given personal attention.
The facilities are excellent, as you’d expect from a university that values the spirit of enterprise and puts employability at the heart of everything it does. Courses are designed to provide employers with exactly what they’re looking for and many have been created with their direct input. Support, both in helping students plan their careers and their lives outside of the world of work, is always on hand via our careers team, as well as other expert advisers and counsellors.
Our (primary) Plas Coch campus in Wrexham boasts a custom built game developer studio and serves as the base for the Computer Game Development degree programme. All of our game oriented degrees have have been developed in close consultation with industry partners and are compliant with SkillSet and IGDA guidelines for academic standards in digital media and game producton.
The Regent Street campus (situated 1/4 mile from our primary Plas Coch site) houses the school of Art & Design and boasts an array of digital media facilities that includes an Apple accredited MAC studio hub.
We are also in the process of constructing a multi-million pound Design Technology & Media Centre on our primary campus which is due for completion by September 2010. It will house a dedicated computer game production facility and become the new home of our resident game developer company RareBit Interactive.
