DADIU, the National
Academy of Digital, Interactive Entertainment is a production focused computer
games education based in Denmark involving all of the relevant competencies in
computer game development.
In fall 2011 the DADIU
program will be organized over one
semester such that students from all over Denmark will participate in a joint
curriculum, competence projects and a graduation game.
DADIU gives students a
unique opportunity to test their professional competences, create networks
across universities and art schools, and get a glimpse of the reality waiting
for them after graduation.
The Graduation Game-production will be extended with a longer pre production
period giving students more time to develop the games that have, in the past,
been awarded nominations at Indiecade-, Independent Games Festival, and Penny
Arcade Expo nominations.
DADIU is also working on integrating students from the Copenhagen Business
School into the study to act as business consultants on the productions.
To participate in DADIU you must be a student at one of DADIU’s member
institutions. See the full list and read more about the study atwww.dadiu.dk/english.
You have just escaped from a mental institution. You’re on the run. The sun is shining, the birds are singing. You are jumping happily from cloud to cloud. You know that the only way to freedom is by reaching the ship at the end of the level. A cute bunny is jumping towards you, blocking your path. By the push of a button the whole world flips around and shows its dark side. The bunny is now an evil nurse who is trying to stop you from getting away. You headbutt her, clearing your path. With a push of the button the world flips back and shows its light side again.
