DigiPen Institute of Technology is a global leader in game development education. As the first school in the world to offer a bachelor's degree in game development, DigiPen has advanced the game industry for more than two decades by empowering students to become world-class programmers, engineers, designers, and artists. DigiPen students have won more awards at the prestigious Independent Games Festival than those of any other school, and graduates have gone on to create ground-breaking games like Valve Software's Portal series.

Located in Redmond, Washington, a suburb of Seattle known for its thriving tech industry, DigiPen maintains strong industry connections that lead to unique opportunities for its students. DigiPen students have interned at Nintendo on the Wii technology, collaborated with Microsoft Research on special projects, drawn side by side with professionals from ArenaNet at DigiPen’s Life Drawing Labs, and listened to lectures from industry guest speakers from such companies as Pixar, Disney, and Valve.

In addition to DigiPen's undergraduate and graduate degree programs, the school also offers ProjectFUN Summer Workshops and online courses for students in grades 5 and higher to learn about video game development, 3D animation, game design, and robotics. More information is available at http://www.projectfun.digipen.edu.

In the fall of 2009, DigiPen launched its first international branch campus in Singapore. Students at DigiPen’s Singapore campus receive the same rigorous education as their Redmond counterparts, and will be poised to take advantage of the rapidly growing Asian digital media sector.  For more information about DigiPen Singapore, visit http://singapore.digipen.edu/.

In the fall of 2011, DigiPen Europe-Bilbao opened its doors in Spain as part of a joint endeavor with the Basque Ministry of Education. Like DigiPen Singapore, this second branch campus aims to drive the growth of the video game and animation industries in both the Basque Country and throughout Europe. For more information about DigiPen Europe-Bilbao, visit http://www.digipen.es/.
