New Media Campus is the premiere facility in western Canada for 3D Animation and Game Design, Multimedia and On-Line Multimedia. The 2 year course begins in Multimedia learning Director 8.5, Flash 5, Photoshop 6 and a variety of on-line and interactive tools. The On-Line Multimedia course has been rated as one of the top technologies in Canada for delivery of educational courses and concepts. The second year focus is on learning the powerful 3D Animation tool Maya 5 and the interactive game design tool Virtools 2. The school is also opening a second digital campus in Regina in the new film soundstage slated for fall 2002. The school has limited enrolment and requires a digital portfolio for acceptance into the 3D Animation and Game Design Program.

The 3D animation & Game Design training series is a full length course specifically designed to take the student through a number of projects that will expose them to various techniques and production pipelines with an emphasis on (but not limited to) modeling and texturing for games. Each section will introduce students to new concepts that will challenge their creativity and will expand their understanding of the steps necessary to complete a project.

Each successive project has a higher level of difficulty which continuously builds upon the previously covered tools and key concepts. Upon successful completion of the entire training course the student will attain working knowledge of the software used as well the ability to apply the techniques learned to a studio production pipeline.

What's unique about our course is that 12-months of access to our instructors is available for technical support. In addition, each assignment that is submitted by the student will be followed up with a video critique from their instructor. Our instructors will work with the student on each assignment to ensure that all key concepts are completed according to industry standards before moving on to the next assignment.
