  • The Game Programming studies in the Information Technology Degree Programme (210 credits) is worth up to 100 credits. The studies forms part of the Information Technology Degree Programme (Bachelor ‘s Degree), which takes 3,5 years to complete. There are 40 study places available on this degree course of which 15 – 20 places will be for those who wish to specialise in game programming. The degree programme studies are organised within the field of Natural Sciences. The aim of the studies in game programming is to provide an overview of the game product creation process and to develop students’ skills in game programming. The module also develops the basic necessary know-how and knowledge required in game development and shows how to apply such skills in practice. Students will gain the principle skills required for pc, network and mobile phone game design and production. A significant part of the studies also promotes and develops teamwork skills. The Business Information Degree Programme is divided into the following sections (worth a total of 210 credits): Basic Studies in Information Technology (62 credits) like Programming Basics (Java) and Object Oriented Programming (Java). Compulsory Professional Studies (73 credits) and there Information Technology Studies like C++ Programming, C# Programming and Data Structures and Algorithms. Business Operations and Communication Methodological Studies are also included. Professional Studies and Free-Choice Studies (37 credits) for Game Programming includes: Games and Game Production, Game Programming Introductory Course, XNA Game Programming, 3D Modelling and Animation, Game Programming Intermediate Course, Artificial Intelligence in Games, Mobile Game Programming, Network Game Development and Mathematics and Physics for Game Programmers. Practical training (30 credits) and Thesis (15 credits) are also dedicated for Game Development.
