  • Results from Game Design Challenge: Crossing Over

    - staff
  • Recently, some big news hit the entertainment industry. Disney acquired Lucasfilm for some $4 billion, making the multimedia giant the new owner of the popular Star Wars franchise. Ever since, the internet has been abuzz with speculation about how Disney will use this popular license.

Fans tend to love it when two major franchises cross paths. Look at games like Marvel vs. Capcom or Kingdom Hearts. These cross-over games find a way to take two dissonant universes and franchises and mix them together into something special. Like chocolate and peanut butter, sometimes two great things are even better when they're side-by-side.

For our latest Game Design Challenge, Game Career Guide challenged its readers to combine popular franchises from video games, movies, comics, and other media to create an original crossover title.

What follows are the best and most original entries we received. Here are our top picks.
