  • The specialization in game programming prepares students for a career as either a professional game developer or researcher. We take the approach that our students will be Computer Scientists first, and so the emphasis is on technical skills that are common to both games and other types of software. Students are required to fulfill either an internship or research project requirement. The course requirements demand participation in original group projects.

Students fulfilling the course requirements will learn in depth about Computer Graphics, Networking, Memory Management, Concurrency and Multithreading, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, and Artificial Intelligence in addition to technologies, platforms, and algorithms specific to games.
